This is a fun course teaching the basics of sailing. No previous experience is required. The course is 95% practical. After two days learning to sail with Sail in Asia you will be confident at helming and trimming sails and guiding a small yacht in almost every direction. Trainees will be amazed at how much fun sailing is and generally can't wait to sign on for a further two or three days to become IYT International Crew. Learn to Sail provides the experience of both crewing and helming a yacht and with the knowledge and skills gained you are on the way to becoming a competent crew on a yacht.
We use catamarans for this course as they are ideal platforms for people with disabilities, roomy, stable and safe. This option includes the possibility of a night  stop over on an outlying tropical island.

Phang Nga Bay, in Phuket is possibly the most beautiful sailing location in SE Asia for cruising yachts. The two or three day programme introduces students to yacht sailing in the splendid cruising grounds of Phang Nga Bay. It is a valuable first experience of adventure sailing in a controlled and safe setting with a professional training organization. Sail in Asia is the premier one stop training school in SE Asia. 
This trip can be a bespoke adventure where nature, training and adventure on beautiful catamarans can be explored to the full by the students.  The National Park is full of mangrove swamps, gorgeous beaches, incredible limestone stacks and of course full of marine life.  There is everything from Dolphins to Hornbills in the park and we can organize trips to take advantage of this natural environment.
